Hagen debuts at Savannah State

The Savannah State Tigers opened its season on Saturday February 19 with Saint Peters College. Freshman Todd Hagen made the best of  his college debut going 1 for 3 with an RBI. Todd is a 2010 graduate of Appling County. Follow Todd all season long on the Tiger's website here.

Former Appling Pirate now a Armstrong Pirate

Former Appling Pirate Justin Crosby will play the 2011 baseball season for the Armstrong Atlantic Pirates in Savannah,Ga.
Justin played two seasons at Young Harris College. He went 5-0 with one save and a 5.11 ERA in 15 games in 2010 as a sophomore,struck out 40 batters in 44 innings pitched. He also pitched in eight games as a freshman, going 0-0 with an 8.49 ERA in 11 2/3 innings pitched.


Armstrong Atlantic is a Division II University and is part of the Peach Belt Conference. Other members of the conference include: Georgia College and State University, Columbus State University and USC-Aiken.

Todd Hagen signs with Savannah State

Todd Hagen signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Savannah State University. Todd was a three-year starter at shortstop and was named to the first team all region team in 2009 and 2010 and helped lead his team to back-to-back region championships in 2009 and 2010. This past season he had a .413 batting average while scoring 55 runs and hitting three homeruns. Provided by Baxley News Banner
